1200 rhinos were killed, while South Africa leave the ban on trafficking in the Horn

21/1, South African officials said nearly 1200 rhinoceroses were killed by poachers in the year 2015.The majority of South African Rhino killed to get the Horn and then sold to Asian countries.
Speaking to reporters, South African Environment Minister, Edna Molewa said as of the end of December, 2015, the number of rhinos killed by the poaching is 1175, less than 100 compared with 2008 and decreased slightly over the record level is 1215 in 2014. 
However, some experts believe that the actual number of rhinos killed is also much higher.

The status of this carnage is caused by demand for rhino horn in Asian countries rising by rhino horns are believed to medicines, which science always denials is the lack of scientific bases.
Although South Africa has had many attempts to prevent poaching incidents but the situation is still not satisfactory. Even, the Government has appointed a retired Army General to be responsible for the anti-poaching incidents but did not stop rhino killed.
Month 11/2015, Supreme Court of South Africa has decided to unload the ban trafficking in rhino horns in the country, with the reason for the ban is not only ineffective but also makes the rhino poaching problem aggravates and resumed the business of legitimate rhinoceros horns will limit trade in "black market" products. 
However, the decision of the Supreme Court of South Africa are aroused a wave of strong controversy, when the protected rare wildlife here protested and said that the lifting on the new administration is "extremely dangerous move" that can worsen the condition of rhino hunting in this African country.
South Africa is home to about 20000 Rhinoceros, 80% of the global amount of rhinoceros.
